What founders say
Sometimes, one conversation changes how you see everything.
I’ve spent years building businesses, mentoring entrepreneurs, and having honest conversations with founders about the decisions they struggle to make. The most valuable conversations don’t always give you more answers. Sometimes, they help you finally ask the right question.
Milan and I advise each other on how to run our businesses. We show each other our blind spots. Honestly, sometimes uncomfortably, always to get better. His advice doesn’t come from a framework. It comes from building SmartClick from nothing and getting through the hard parts himself. If you’ve become the ceiling of your own company, talk to Milan.

I’ve had the pleasure of working and meeting with many professionals in our line of work, but Milan is someone who I will always remember fondly. He has excellent management skills, a knack for keeping everyone calm and productive, and a deep understanding of the industry.

Milan is an extremely capable and determined professional. An exceptional leader that inspires, motivates and drives results. The teams he led kept exceeding expectations and raised the bar on how a relationship should be nurtured.

Sound familiar?
You’re working harder. But are you solving the right problem?
You keep going in circles.
Every week brings another challenge. Another decision. Another thing that needs your attention. You have ten problems in front of you, but you can’t tell which one deserves to be solved first.
So you do what you’ve always done. You work harder. Longer hours. More meetings. More ideas. More tools. More things on your to-do list. You convince yourself that if you keep pushing, eventually something will change.
But deep down, you know there’s a problem you’ve been avoiding. And it might be the one problem making everything else harder.
Maybe this is what your days look like.
Everything feels urgent.
Your calendar is full, your team needs you, clients expect answers, and somehow the most important work never gets done.
You have too many ideas and no clear direction.
Every new opportunity looks promising. You start multiple initiatives, but struggle to decide which one actually deserves your attention.
You’re solving the same problems repeatedly.
You fix something today, only for a similar problem to return next week. You’re treating symptoms rather than the cause.
You keep postponing the difficult decision.
A hire. A partnership. An underperforming employee. A pricing change. A conversation you’ve been avoiding.
Your business depends too much on you.
You have people around you, but important decisions, sales, client issues and daily problems still find their way back to your desk.
You’re too close to see clearly.
You’ve spent years building this company. You know every detail. But that closeness makes it difficult to question the assumptions you’ve built it around.
You’re successful on paper, but frustrated in reality.
You have clients, revenue and a team. Yet the company isn’t giving you the freedom, control or progress you expected.
You’re afraid of choosing the wrong next step.
You know your time and money are limited. The wrong decision could cost you months, so you keep analyzing instead of acting.
The uncomfortable truth
You might not need to work harder. You might need to stop working on the wrong problem. And that’s exactly where our conversation starts.

How the session works
You don’t need someone to agree with you. You need someone willing to challenge you.
I’m not here to tell you what you want to hear. I’m here to understand the business, question your assumptions, and help you see what you might be missing.
We won’t spend an hour jumping between ten unrelated problems. We’ll start with the challenge you bring. Then we’ll dig deeper.
- Why is this happening?
- What have you already tried?
- What’s actually causing it?
- What are you assuming is true?
- What happens if you do nothing?
- What would change if you solved the underlying problem?
Challenge your thinking
I’ll ask questions that force you to look at the problem differently. Sometimes I’ll agree with your assumptions. Sometimes I’ll challenge them.
Find the real bottleneck
We’ll separate symptoms from causes and identify the constraint that deserves your attention first.
Explore possible solutions
We won’t jump to the first idea. We’ll examine your options, their trade-offs, and what makes sense for your situation.
Make the decision yours
I’m not going to pretend I can run your business better than you. I’ll bring experience, questions and perspective. You’ll bring the context and ultimately decide which direction to take.
Define your next step
We’ll turn the conversation into a concrete action, with an owner, a deadline and a clear definition of progress.
Close the accountability loop
You’ll leave with a commitment to your next step. I’ll send a short follow-up summary, and we’ll agree on one check-in to review whether you’ve taken the agreed action.
The check-in is for accountability on the agreed next step, not an additional consulting session.
The goal isn’t to leave with more information. It’s to leave knowing what you’re going to do differently.

Who this is for
For founders who are serious about growing. And willing to question themselves.
You’re ambitious.
You’ve already built something, but you know there’s another level you want to reach.
You’re open-minded.
You don’t need someone to validate every decision. You’re willing to hear a different perspective.
You’re an action-taker.
You don’t just collect ideas. You’re prepared to make decisions and do the work.
You’re willing to take ownership.
You understand that even when a problem involves employees, clients or the market, your response is still your responsibility.
You’ve built a real business.
You have clients, revenue, a team or a growing operation. You’re dealing with actual business decisions, not just an idea.
You’re comfortable being challenged.
You’d rather have an uncomfortable but useful conversation than an encouraging one that changes nothing.
You’re ready for your next stage.
You’ve outgrown some of the habits and systems that helped you get here, but you’re not entirely sure what needs to change.
You value experience.
You understand that learning from someone who’s already faced similar decisions can help you avoid unnecessary mistakes.

Especially if you started as a specialist.
- Developer
- Freelancer
- Designer
- Marketer
- Consultant
- Engineer
- Technical founder
You became excellent at your work. Then you built a business around it. And now you’re discovering that building the company requires a completely different set of skills.
That’s a transition I know personally.
Who this is not for
We probably shouldn’t work together if…
You already know everything.
You’re not interested in questioning your assumptions or considering a different perspective.
You want someone to tell you you’re right.
You’re looking for validation, not an honest conversation.
You blame everyone else.
Every problem is caused by employees, customers, competitors or the market, and you don’t see your own role in changing things.
You’re looking for a magic solution.
You expect one conversation to fix years of organizational, commercial or leadership problems without execution afterward.
You want someone to do the work for you.
You’re looking for an outsourced salesperson, manager, marketer or CEO rather than an advisor.
You’re not ready to act.
You enjoy discussing ideas, but you’re unwilling to make difficult decisions or follow through.
You’re unwilling to be transparent.
You don’t want to share the relevant facts, context or numbers needed to understand your situation.
You’re still searching for your first business idea.
This session is designed primarily for founders who already have a business and face real operating challenges.
I’d rather tell you we’re not a fit than sell you something you don’t need.

Why working with me?
I didn’t learn business from watching other people build theirs.
I started as a developer. Then a freelancer. I worked with more than 250 international clients before building SmartClick. And somewhere along the way, I became responsible for something much bigger than my own work.
Clients. Employees. Salaries. Sales. Hiring. Leadership. Strategy. Cash flow. Partnerships. The future of the company.
I’ve made good decisions. I’ve also made expensive ones. I’ve hired the wrong people, delayed difficult conversations, tried sales approaches that didn’t work, lost important clients, and had to question my own role in problems I initially thought were caused by someone else.
Today, I’m still building businesses and working with founders. I’m the Founder & CEO of SmartClick, host of Leaders of Growth, founder of The Visionary Circle, mentor, business builder and entrepreneur. I also speak and share lessons from building companies, navigating growth and making difficult decisions.
But none of those titles matter as much as this:
I know what it feels like when the responsibility stops with you. And I know how valuable it can be to have someone outside the business who isn’t afraid to ask the difficult question.

How it works

Diagnose. Decide. Act.
We’ll spend 60 minutes working through your challenge. Afterward, you’ll receive a concise summary of the main insight, recommended direction and agreed next action. We’ll also agree on an accountability check-in.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is the Founder Bottleneck Session?
It’s a focused 60-minute private conversation designed to help you understand an important business challenge and determine your next step. Unlike a general mentoring call, we start with a specific problem. I’ll review the context you share before the session, ask questions, challenge your assumptions and help you distinguish visible symptoms from the underlying constraint. The intended outcome is clarity about what deserves your attention and a concrete next action. We won’t pretend every complex business issue can be fully resolved in an hour.
What kinds of problems can I bring?
You can bring problems related to positioning, sales, pricing, business models, team structure, hiring, leadership, delegation, partnerships, growth priorities or your own role as founder. For example, you might be unsure whether to hire a salesperson, how to handle an underperforming team member, why sales remain dependent on you, or which growth initiative to prioritize. The best starting point is one challenge materially affecting your business and that you can act on. If the situation requires specialist legal, tax or other regulated professional advice, I’ll recommend involving the appropriate professional.
Do I need to know what my real problem is before booking?
No. You need to know what’s troubling you, not necessarily what’s causing it. You might believe you have a sales problem when the underlying issue is positioning. Or you might think employees aren’t performing when the real issue is unclear accountability. Part of the session is exploring those assumptions. You can arrive with a situation, a difficult decision or a recurring frustration. We’ll work together to understand what lies underneath it.
Is one hour really enough?
One hour can be enough to challenge an assumption, clarify a decision or identify a useful next step. It is not enough to redesign an entire company, rebuild a sales organization or resolve every leadership challenge. That’s why the session is intentionally focused. The goal is not to solve every problem. It’s to make meaningful progress on the one that deserves your attention first. If the challenge requires deeper work, we’ll identify that honestly.
What should I prepare before the session?
You’ll receive a short pre-session questionnaire covering your company, current stage, team, business model and primary challenge. Depending on the problem, I may ask for relevant numbers or context such as organizational structure, offer, pipeline or priorities. You don’t need to create a presentation. I’d rather receive an honest description of what’s happening than a polished version of the business. The more useful context you provide beforehand, the more focused our conversation can be.
Will you tell me exactly what to do?
I’ll tell you what I think, including where I disagree with your assumptions. I’ll share relevant experience, explore alternatives and recommend a direction when I believe the evidence supports it. But I won’t pretend that one outsider can understand every detail of your company better than you. My role is to improve the quality of your thinking and decisions. You remain responsible for choosing and implementing the action. The strongest outcome is not that you follow my instructions. It’s that you understand why a particular decision makes sense.
What exactly will I receive after the call?
You’ll receive a concise written summary covering the main bottleneck identified, key observations, recommended direction and agreed next action. We’ll also define what progress should look like and agree on one accountability check-in. The summary is meant to be practical, not a lengthy consulting report. You should be able to open it the following morning and know what to focus on.
What happens if we identify several problems?
That’s normal. Most growing companies have several connected problems at once. You may be struggling with sales, hiring, delegation and profitability simultaneously. Rather than trying to solve all of them in 60 minutes, we’ll examine which issues are symptoms, which are causes, and which constraint deserves priority. Sometimes solving one underlying issue reduces the pressure created by several others. The objective is to establish a sensible order of action, not create a longer to-do list.
Do I need to sign up for ongoing advisory afterward?
No. The €300 session is a standalone service. You can take the insights, execute independently and never purchase another session. If we discover a larger challenge that would benefit from ongoing support, I may explain how the 90-Day Founder Advisory works. That engagement includes twelve private 1:1 sessions and ongoing decision support over 90 days, at €3,000. There is no obligation to continue.
How do I know whether €300 is worth it?
Consider the decision you’re currently facing. What might it cost if you hire the wrong person, spend another three months pursuing the wrong strategy, continue losing time to recurring problems, or delay a difficult but necessary decision? The value of the session depends on your situation and what you do afterward. I can’t promise a financial return or a particular business outcome. What you’re paying for is focused preparation, an experienced outside perspective, a structured conversation and a practical next step. If that isn’t what you need, the session may not be the right investment.
Not ready yet?
Not ready for a paid session? You can still take the first step.
Maybe you want to understand your situation better before booking. Maybe you’re still exploring whether you need outside help. Or maybe you simply prefer to start on your own. Here are two ways to begin.
Founder research
Tell me what’s really challenging you.
I’m researching the problems founders face as they move from doing the work themselves to building a company around it. Share your experience through a short survey. I’m especially interested in the problems that don’t appear on LinkedIn: the decisions you postpone, the pressure you carry and the challenges that keep returning.
What you’ll get
- A chance to reflect on your challenges
- An opportunity to contribute to founder research
- The option to leave your details for a free 30-minute research conversation
The free conversation is for selected respondents who share a specific challenge and are willing to discuss their experience openly. It’s not a substitute for the paid session.

You don’t have to figure out every problem alone.
You built the business. You know the clients. You know the people. You know the numbers. And you probably know more about your company than anyone else. But sometimes that’s exactly why it’s difficult to see what’s wrong. You’re too involved. Too close. Too busy solving today’s problems to question what’s creating them.
Maybe you don’t need another strategy. Maybe you don’t need another hire. Maybe you don’t need to work another weekend. Maybe you need one honest conversation.
Bring the problem that’s been on your mind for weeks. The decision you’ve been avoiding. Let’s find your next step.
